An omnivorous ground bird, the Guam Rail is extinct in the wild. However, the San Diego Zoo has undertaken a program to reintroduce them on Rota Island, which is near Guam. The brown tree snake was mostly responsible for their decline when they took up residence through human cargo.Back in March 2, 2007. this very elusive and shy ground bird. [More] [Less]
